How we work

By working closely with our clients, ensuring that we fully understand the brief, we are able to deliver the best and most cost-effective solution, whether it is a 3D animation, a still image, interactive presentation or instruction manual.

Following initial discussions, we confirm agreement of the brief and establish the project budget in detail. Once this has been approved, we move on to supplying initial visuals and storyboards to ensure we are clear on the content and style of the work we are producing.

We guide you regarding the most appropriate reference material for us to work from. The more detailed the source material you can supply, the better and more detailed ‘starting point’ we have for the project. This reduces the project time required and assists in managing the budget effectively.

We are equally happy talking to engineers or marketing teams in order to understand the technical detail behind the project and to ensure that the relevant information and reference material is in place.

The production process then starts in full. Our in house team of illustrators, designer and animators work together on most projects, maximising creativity and delivering the best outcome, often within tight timescales. We liaise closely throughout the process sending out image and animation previews at agreed stages of work, right up until the finished product.

Technical Illustration

Provide a detailed and clear method of communication for use in technical publications and interactive content.

With vast experience in this area, we supply quality affordable images for a wide variety of industry sectors. From large automotive and defence contracts consisting of thousands of illustrations, to bespoke individual images for advertising campaigns. Our reputation in this area is one we are proud of and we are committed to build on. Combining the latest technology with traditional techniques is our key to success. We can quickly assess the best method to assign to a project depending on available reference material and budget.

Advantages of line illustrations:

  • Can be produced from existing CAD data, photographs or physical products
  • Ideally suited to cost effective black and white printing
  • When reduced in size are much clearer than black and white photographs
  • Easily annotated and Hot Spots available for interactive delivery
  • Can be incorporated into colour vector illustrations
  • Specific detailed areas can be highlighted in tone or colour
  • Multiple end uses
  • Easily modified

What we need from you:

  • An initial brief outlining what you would like to achieve
  • Reference materials

What you can expect from us:

  • A single point of contact throughout the project, together with the involvement of our illustration team
  • Reference materials
  • Guidance along the way, e.g. in providing the brief, source materials etc.
  • Prompt and efficient service
  • A high-quality end product with multiple uses

CGI

The use of 3D images is constantly growing in todays visual communication market. The main reasons for this are:

  • The ability to produce a photo-realistic image of a product before the design is finalised
  • The utilisation of existing CAD data to greatly reduce time and cost
  • Being able to show processes or internal components that would not be possible with photography
  • To improve on the finished manufactured appearance of a product
  • To integrate with 3D animation and consolidate 3D files.

With our multi-application CAD transfer and state of the art rendering software, we can provide the best possible solution for your brief.

What we need from you:

  • An initial brief outlining what you would like to achieve
  • Reference materials such as CAD data, engineering drawings, photographs, sketches or the actual product

What you can expect from us:

  • A single point of contact throughout the project, together with the involvement of our 3D team.
  • Guidance along the way, e.g. in providing the brief, source materials etc.
  • Prompt and efficient service
  • A high-quality end product with multiple uses

3D Animation

We provide support with the planning and preparation when you commission us to produce a 3D animation, particularly when you are embarking on this kind of project for the first time.

How to get the most exposure from a 3D Animation:

  • Upload it to your company website
  • Feature it on YouTube or Vimeo
  • Play it on a large screen at a trade show
  • Embed it into company or sales presentations
  • Use it as part of a multimedia training package
  • Have it produced on DVD or USB stick to give out at events
  • Promote it via LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media sites
  • Write a press release about it, issue this to the relevant media in your area and let your customers know about this through social media and e-marketing
  • Use still images produced from the animation to accompany the press release, and for use in your company literature, e-marketing and display posters

What we need from you:

  • An initial brief outlining what you would like to achieve
  • Reference materials
  • Voiceover script and recording if required – we can assist with the production
  • Your input and approval throughout the process i.e. to approve storyboard, visuals, layouts, initial and final renders, and final output

What you can expect from us:

  • A single point of contact throughout the project, together with the involvement of our creative team of animators and designers.
  • Guidance along the way, e.g. in providing the brief, source materials, voiceovers etc.
  • Prompt and efficient service
  • A high-quality end product with multiple uses

3D Compositions

3D Compositions are images that are created by combining 3D and photographic content.

For example, a new building may be constructed in 3D from Architects drawings. This model can then be inserted into an actual photograph of the proposed site for the building. The camera angle of the model is carefully matched to the photograph within the 3D application and the end result is seamless. This format can also work with products sited in a realistic environment. Either a specific site photo can be used or stock photography.

Advantages of 3D Compositions:

  • Reduction in overall timescales and cost as environment modelling is kept to a minimum
  • Final render is more realistic
  • Better overall impression of what proposed building/product will look like in it’s actual environment

What we need from you:

  • An initial brief outlining what you would like to achieve
  • Reference materials such as CAD data, engineering drawings, photographs, sketches or the actual product
  • A relevant photograph or access to photograph the required site

What you can expect from us:

  • A single point of contact throughout the project, together with the involvement of our 3D team.
  • Guidance along the way, e.g. in providing the brief, source materials etc.
  • In-house photography service
  • Prompt and efficient service
  • A high-quality end product with multiple uses
