The Company was founded in 2002, already with many years experience in the production of high quality technical illustration work for blue chip companies like Baxi UK.
The range of Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) that is produced in the studio is vast. The team of designers and technical illustrators have experience in everything from working on highly technical products in various stages of production in industry to architectural projects, character animation and interactive training presentations. Many of the projects undertaken start with a simple visual needed for pre production purposes and evolve into high impact CGI visuals and 3D animations used for marketing, exhibition and training purposes.
The 3D Animation Studio operates with the advantage of a permanent in house design team. This gives both the creative edge and the ability to work as a team to turn around large projects within short lead times.
The Studio’s knowledge and experience in using the latest 3D and post production software allows them to maximise the use of the reference material available, all to enable companies to afford high impact CGI within available budgets.
Optical 3D animation clients incude Baxi Potterton, Bentley Motors, JCB, British Telecom, Ogilvy Mather, Rohan and Torotrak, together with a range of other highly interesting and innovative companies.
The process of working with the studio starts with the MD or Lead Designer having a detailed discussion with the client regarding the project requirements. As a design team, the studio then composes a detailed brief, identifying the most cost effective reference materials, producing a story-board as needed, together with timescales and costings. Reference materials used in the studio include sketches, prototype models, actual products, and 2D and 3D CAD.
Most projects have clearly defined phases and the studio team can be in contact daily by phone and e-mail to ensure that all the client’s requirements are understood and achieved within the agreed timescale.
The studio team will ensure that the client has the final high quality visual or animation in the most versatile format, whether it is for print media, exhibition screen, website usage or all of these.
